Automatically display video thumbnails

This option will display or hide the video thumbnails provided by Vimeo® . If you choose yes, wherever your theme uses the built-in WordPress® function “the_post_thumbnail” the video thumbnail will be displayed automatically.

If your theme does not use the function “the_post_thumbnail” the thumbnails will not be displayed automatically. Click here to read about how to manually display thumbnails in your themes.


Display video meta

This option will display or hide the video post meta such as the author and post date when viewing your video post.

Here’s an example of what video meta looks like:

Do you want to add the WordPress® “More” tag to your video descriptions?

If yes, the more tag will be added so that the whole video description isn’t displayed in your post loops.


Number of words before WordPress® ’ “More” tag

If you decide to add the “More” tag to your video descriptions this setting allows you to choose how many words you want displayed in your post loops before the more tag is displayed.


Do you want your videos to be responsive?

This plugin offers responsive videos! Select “yes” for this option if you’d like your videos to scale and maintain aspect ration upon resize of the browser window or when being displayed on mobile and tablet devices.


Responsive video ratio

If you choose for your videos to be responsive they’ll need to maintain aspect ratio. Select the aspect ratio in which you’d like for your videos to be displayed.

Possible values include:

  • 1:1
  • 3:2
  • 4:3
  • 5:3
  • 5:4
  • 16:9

Video dimensions

If you do not want your videos to be responsive, select the width and height at which you’d like your videos to be displayed.


Display videos in post lists

If you’d like you can have your videos displayed on your category pages or any page using the WordPress® loop. Select “yes” if you’d like the videos displayed on these pages as well.
